HEALING-CENTERED THERAPY FOR THE WHOLE BODY
EMDR Intensives for High Achievers centers holistic mental healthcare for BIPOC professionals and leaders. It is for those who have lost bits and pieces of themselves along the way to success. You're done pushing through burnout, battling racial fatigue, and overriding your own boundaries in interest of others. YOU want to share YOU with others - not give ALL OF YOU away to others. Let's tend to the garden of you for a change — in days, not years.

THE HIDDEN COSTS OF 'GRIND CULTURE' & 'TWICE AS GOOD'
You've built an impressive career, a respected reputation, and a life that looks enviable from the outside. But underneath, weathering, racism, and overworking has cost you some of your self worth and confidence. Perhaps, you wonder privately "is this all there is?"
You want support, but weekly therapy doesn't fit your schedule — and honestly, you're not sure you have the patience for years of incremental progress. You want focused, efficient work that honors your time, but also your heart, culture, and humanity.

What Are EMDR Intensives?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of the most researched and effective trauma therapies available. Intensives take this powerful modality and deliver it in concentrated sessions — typically 3 to 6 hours over one to three days. And at the same time, with the right EMDR clinician, it is warm, welcoming, and personal.
Whether you're grappling with burnout, guilt, overwhelm and perfectionism, or racialized stress in higher education, your vocation, or in the field of an elite profession - that standard approaches to therapy don't always work. Intensives create the conditions for deep, sustained processing and equips you with tools to continue your healing journey far beyond our session. You get in, do the work, and integrate the results — with follow-up support as needed.
EMDR is endorsed by the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO), American Psychological Association (APA), and U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) for trauma treatment.
Achieve in days what might take years in traditional weekly therapy.
We identify your core targets and work through them systematically.
Intensives minimize scheduling footprints. Your work stays yours.
Who This Is For
Intensives are designed for individuals who value efficiency, directness, and results. The irony is that sometimes slow is fast - as the saying goes. That requires us to bring the whole body and person to the work, not just the head (e.g., analysis, intellectualization, cognitive acquisition of information). If you're tired of talking for years with limited movement, this is a different path.

You're responsible for teams, decisions, committees and outcomes. You need to show up fully. You want to be a heart-centered leader — but overwhelm, burnout, and perfectionism are draining your capacity.
You built something from nothing. You see your success as the answer to taking everybody with you. People don't see the heaviness. The drive that got you here may also be fueled by patterns that it's time to examine and resolve.
High-stakes work leaves marks. Vicarious trauma, moral injury, and cumulative stress deserve focused, efficient attention.
Navigating excellence while managing racialized stress, code-switching fatigue, and systemic pressures that compound over time. This work makes space for all of it.

ABOUT ME
I've spent almost twenty years studying human behavior and human relationships across Diasporic communities, and have advocated for diasporic Black health and wellness at the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner office in Geneva, Switzerland. I've spent nearly a decade working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+ social impact leaders in communities on intergenerational trauma and healing initiatives. With an advanced degree in the Social Sciences, an expert in trauma and healing-centered care, and more importantly as someone who believes in the importance of having my own therapeutic and spiritual teachers, I've been fortunate to have built a career and vocation grounded in discernment, deep care, and expert knowledge of the bio-psycho-social-spiritual needs of what makes us human.
After the birth of my son in 2024, I became the CEO, Clinical Director and Founder of Notice That! Therapy PLLC. Through my practice I provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed mental healthcare to adults across Southeast Michigan and also partner with mission-driven organizations to promote trauma-informed health and wellness through trainings, workshops, and speaking engagements.
I am a certified-EMDR therapist through the accreditation organization known as EMDRIA, or the EMDR International Association. Through EMDR, I help clients recover from racial trauma, attain post-traumatic growth, and re-establish an embodied sense of safety and self-worth. I am also a trained Reiki level 3 practitioner and trained as an Ear Acudetox specialist through the National Association of Detoxification Association (NADA) to deliver ear acupuncture for the treatment of addiction and support overall wellness.
My recent writings have been featured in the BlackLandia Anthology: 88 Unashamed Stories of Black Mental Health (2026) edited by Romaine Washington, and in the zine publication Therapeutic Edgelands edited by Bridget Quinn and Owólabi Aboyade.
Through teaching, community partnerships, and clinical work, I'm known for my ability to meet complex stories with compassion, clarity, and a steady presence that makes deep work feel possible. To learn more about my work, visit www.violeta-emdr.com.
