Healing-centered therapy for the whole body

Reclaiming Authenticity in A World that Asks Us to Shrink

EMDR Intensives for High Achievers centers holistic mental healthcare for BIPOC professionals and leaders who feel overworked, overwhelmed, and overlooked.

Let's make room for you.

There's an invisible cloak that you carry of strength, invincibility and service — heavier than most might imagine. There are "side effects" to pushing through for everyone all the time: burnout, losing yourself, exhaustion. It might mean minimizing the things that weather you as you make space for others. As a BIPOC professional it might mean regular attempts to avoid the sting of microaggressions and questionable behavior.

You're here because you are truly considering solutions to make space for your own care and wellness. EMDR Intensives is one transformative option that might help you remember how significant your mental health is — and how worthy and deserving you are of being prioritized too.

Let's tend to you for a change — in days, not years.

THE HIDDEN COSTS OF 'GRIND CULTURE' & NEEDING TO BE 'TWICE AS GOOD FOR HALF AS MUCH'

High-Functioning Doesn't Mean You're Fine.

You've built an impressive career, a respected reputation, and a life that looks enviable from the outside.

But underneath, there are burdens others don't realize you carry:

  • The pressure to be there for everyone
  • The guilt of not being able to do it all
  • The confidence that erodes when someone asks you to be agreeable in ways that dishonor your dignity, sacrifices and talents
  • Weekly therapy that doesn't fit your schedule — and little patience for years of incremental progress, even though you truly want the change
  • The desire for a welcoming and relatable culture-oriented therapy space that makes it easy to be yourself as you work toward your personalized therapeutic goals

At Notice That! Therapy we value our clients heart, culture, humanity, and dignity while remaining highly skilled in the care offered.

What Are EMDR Intensives?

Healing & Transformation Rooted in Science & Heart

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of the most researched and effective trauma therapies available. Intensives take this powerful modality and deliver it in concentrated sessions — typically 3 to 6 hours over one to three days. And at the same time, with the right EMDR clinician, it is warm, welcoming, and personal.

Whether you're grappling with burnout, guilt, overwhelm and perfectionism, or racialized stress in higher education, your vocation, or in the field of an elite profession - that standard approaches to therapy don't always work. Intensives create the conditions for deep, sustained processing and equips you with tools to continue your healing journey far beyond our session. You get in, do the work, and integrate the results — with follow-up support as needed.

Neuroscience-Backed

EMDR is endorsed by the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO), American Psychological Association (APA), and U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) for trauma treatment.

Who This Is For

You Move Fast for Others — Now It's Time to Slow Down for Yourself

Intensives are designed for individuals who want to invest more time and energy into their healing. This person is curious about what kind of mental health care is available and effective outside of talk therapy. EMDR has a somatic component to its approach, which is a great option for high achievers' whose skillset/trauma response sometimes means being rationale and non-emotional.

Intensives are designed for individuals who are curious about mental health solutions outside of traditional talk therapy, for those who want to go deeper into the work, and can feel a growing edge of more courage wanting to be supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

What People Want to Know Before They Reach Out

Honest answers about EMDR, intensives, and what to expect.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they lose their charge. Using bilateral stimulation — eye movements, taps, or tones — EMDR taps into the brain's natural ability to heal, similar to what happens during REM sleep. You don't have to talk through every detail for it to work.
